91st Toronto Beaver Colony

Where Little Adventures Begin Big Dreams!

Ages 5-7 | The perfect first step into the amazing world of scouting

Does your 5, 6, or 7-year-old love exploring, asking "why?" about everything, and making new friends? Beaver Scouts is where curious little minds discover they can do incredible things while having the time of their lives.

At 91st Toronto, our Beaver Colony is like a magical pond where your child will splash into adventure, make their first real friendships outside of school, and develop confidence that will last a lifetime. Through games, crafts, outdoor exploration, and gentle challenges, we help the youngest scouts take their first steps toward becoming confident, caring leaders.

What Makes Beaver Scouts Special?

🌟 Learning Through Play
Everything we do feels like play because it IS play—with purpose. Your Beaver will learn teamwork by building blanket forts, develop problem-solving skills through treasure hunts, and gain confidence by completing age-appropriate challenges that feel like games.

🤝 First Real Friendships
Many parents tell us their child's first "best friend" came from Beaver Scouts. In small groups called "Lodges," kids learn to share, cooperate, and support each other in ways that often surprise their families.

🌱 Gentle Structure
Perfect for kids transitioning from home to more independence. Our meetings provide just enough routine to feel secure while offering plenty of variety to keep things exciting.

🏆 Success at Their Level
Every activity is designed so your child can succeed. We celebrate small victories and help build the "I can do it!" attitude that serves them well in school and beyond.

What Parents Tell Us

"My daughter was so shy when she started Beavers at 5. By the time she swam up to Cubs, she was volunteering to help with everything and had made friends I know she'll keep for years."

"The one hour a week commitment was perfect for our family. But the confidence and social skills he gained were worth so much more than the time invested."

"I love that they learn real values—sharing, caring for the environment, helping others—without it feeling like a lecture. It's all through games and activities."
