Each location on the map has its own unique theme, challenges, and lessons, helping Beaver Scouts grow as they prepare for Cub Scouts!

The Top Section Award for Beaver Scouts
The North Star Award is the highest achievement a Beaver Scout can earn before moving up to Cub Scouts. To receive it, Scouts must:
- Complete a personal progression review
- Fulfill service hours to support their community
- Achieve required Outdoor Adventure Skill stages
- Complete the North Star capstone project
This award signifies growth, leadership, and readiness for new adventures in scouting!

Beaver Scouts spend three years exploring, learning, and growing in the Colony, with each year marked by a different role based on the tail color they wear on their hat.
Brown Tail (Age 5)
Discovering Adventures
- Learning how to belong in the Colony and understand the Beaver Scout way
- Exploring new adventures with guidance from older Beaver Scouts
- Building friendships and discovering teamwork
Blue Tail (Age 6)
Supporting Others
- Helping Brown Tails feel welcome and comfortable in the Colony
- Developing confidence and skills while continuing their journey
- Practicing cooperation and mentoring younger Scouts
White Tail (Age 7)
Leading the Way
- Help plan and organize meetings and adventures

Personal Achievement Badges (PABs) allow Beaver Scouts to discover and explore their unique interests in their own way, making scouting a personalized adventure.
- There are 16 Personal Achievement Badges available, each focused on different skills and passions
- Scouts set their own requirements for each badge, with guidance from Colony Scouters
- Badges can be earned during Beaver Scout adventures or through activities at home with family
